This summer, Exploriem hosts Artifex, the Professional Artist Gala in Ottawa. The purpose of the Gala is to raise funds for entrepreneurial artists while providing them with support and publicity. Artists include fashion designers, new media creators, filmmakers, musicians, graphic artists and writers.
Artifex 2012, the inaugural Professional Artist Gala, has a host of inspiring and entertaining activities that make up this year’s spectacular event.
Join us on Wednesday, June 20, 2012, at 6:30 p.m. at the National Art Gallery’s Water Court where a shimmer of natural light filters through a pool of water. There you’ll meet a gathering of artists showcasing their works in the Artifex “Brevis Galleries” where you can browse, talk to the artists and learn more about their works.
You’ll also meet Carl Bray, one of Canada’s leading young composers, who will play Quantum Entity, the music, with Andrés del Castillo of Eight Seconds.
This Year’s Spotlight Artists include Bruce M. Firestone and the official Book Launch of Quantum Entity. The spotlight also falls on prototypeDthe Filmmaker and creator of Quantum Entity, the movie. This will be shown after the launch and worldwide release of the novel. PrototypeD is a member run, not-for-profit urban workshop organization.
